Professional Development Office

Professional Development Office was formed in TTTC(Baelin) since 2018. PD office is responsible for providing the training of Heads of Professional Development (HOPDs) of Institution-Based Professional Development (IBPD) Centres from schools under DTVET and supporting the professional development activities of TTTC (Baelin) and other schools. PD office offers the trainings like Professional Development Guideline and Operation Manual training, Documentation and Reporting training, Life Skills training, Management of Vocational Schools trainings, ICT trainings, Lesson Plan training, Occupational Safety and Health training and Budgeting training. All these trainings are providing especially for the HOPDs and TTTC staff. PD leaders are leading the development process, reviewed process and conducting the training of the PD guideline and operation manual for TVET teachers and institutions, survey analysis, monitoring and evaluation, and assessment of IBPD Centres function and performance of HOPDs.

Moreover, PD leaders participate and organize Industrial linkage activities of TTTC (Baelin), e.g. Industrial Linkage workshops which are organized annually and conduction trainings for all teachers from schools under DTEVT. Apart from all these activities, PD leaders are working for extra activities assigned by DTVET and TTTC (Baelin).

  • Provide more Opportunities for TVET teachers to upgrade their teaching and learning qualifications and to help administrators, teachers and other educators improve their professional, knowledge, competence, skills and effectiveness

Mission

At least 50 dedicated Institution-Based Professional Development (IBPD) Centres are operational by 2022 and performing two main functions;
  • systematic teacher training through in-school professional development by means of a reformed training program in pedagogical and practical skills to lead student-centred, competency-based education and training and,
  • providing a platform to create institution-level links to the local private sector.
